   • Senior Software Engineer [August 2021 — June 2023]

     Working on CyberSource, a Visa owned payment processing service, focussing on API development and performance engineering.
     I've mostly worked on re-engineering a batched transaction processing system, have it scale from a 5.5 TPS monolith to a 12.7 TPS clustered deployment.
     My job responsibilities include, writing up design documents for new components - high and low level designs as required, code reviews, and working with/mentoring comparatively co-workers as needed.

3. Rockstar Games

   • Information Systems Developer [August 2018 — July 2021]

     Building REST APIs for backend systems used in work administration, data collection, processing, prediction, and reporting. Apart from hands on coding I am involved in code review, driving decisions on the features and modules I own.

     Major milestones:

     • Built large object caching infrastructure based on Apache Kafka to cut BLOB fetch time by 50%.
     • Designed API Gateway to enable seamless & scheduled deployment with CI/CD infrastructure to avoid downtime.
     • Designed libraries for easy configuration driven usage & integration of Kafka based common messaging infra - targeted towards any developer inside the company to be able to use the shared services as a platform.

4. Infosys Ltd.

   • Senior Systems Engineer [October 2017 — August 2018]

     Designing REST APIs for backend for processing high volume financial transactions. This was for a company in agricultural trading business, enabling them to make purchases from farmers directly.
     (Java, Spring Boot, MS SQL Server, MS Azure)

     • The systems processed about half a million financial transactions in a span of an hour - twice a day.
     • Designed & integrated multi-party authentication for use-case where a transaction required a chain of authorizations.

   • Systems Engineer [July 2015 — October 2017]

     • Built web service to monitor, gather and analyse data from industrial equipment e.g. agricultural processors, weighing scale, temperature sensors etc. for a factory.
     • Built prototype image recognition system to analyse aerial imagery of agricultural lands and detect disease infected areas. (Python, Keras)
     • Developed Android app for a digital farming solution to provide farmers with live data from the image analysis system, aggregating other information, presented as a mixed augmented reality. (Android, Python)
